Competition Coverage - WHAT’S NEXT ?

Hello ! If you are here it means you have booked coverage for your next competition ! Now here is a little guide to help you understand how the whole process works and some ideas for you to make the best out of your content !

What DID you booked ?

1

By putting your trust in me to capture your achievements and journey in the sport, My work will be to give you the visuals to tell your story. For yourself, your audience, the future you and your supports.

Whether it is for photos or videos content, I’ll do my best to deliver something that speaks to you.

How do I get access to my content ?

2

All the content will be delivered in a private gallery, protected by a password that will be given upon delivery.

This gallery will let you download your content in High definition format to share it and use it for your personal needs

The gallery will stay available for 30 days before going down automatically, so you are in no rush to retrieve and review your content (but don’t forget it ;) )

When can I expect my content ?

3

The delay for the content delivery, whether it is photos or videos is expected to be 48h after the end of your competition.

It will be delivered as soon as possible, but in some cases, especially for the biggest tournaments of the season, this delay can be extended a little due to the marathon pace required by the multiple days of shoot

what do I need from you on the day of your fight?

4

Now What do I need from you ?

I don’t need much actually, but it will be vital to make sure that everything run smoothly on the D-Day :

I need communication !

Because the fight areas are huge and extremely crowded, I need to know where you are, and when you are going to the waiting area or your mat.

The schedule is always moving, the order of fight may change or some delay might occur, I need to have informations to be there for you at the best time possible - a little early to set myself up, grab some cool BTS shots, and we have can enjoy a less stressful time !

If you can’t - or don’t want to - communicate yourself for any reason, it’s fine. please ask someone you know and can assist you to do the communication.

You can text me :

  • Before going to the waiting area

  • bEfore going to your mats

  • before going on the podium

  • if there is anything critical that changes the schedule by a lot

Here is my personal number if you prefer whatsapp ou text :

+33661884227

Thank you so much !

now if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask me directly ! See you on the mats !

Now some ideas on “how should i use what I paid for?”

across those years of capturing content for athletes, professional or not, there is one thing that even I sometimes miss a lot. How can I use my content to attract more people to my story ? And the answer is often much simpler than it seems : just tell it !

Here are some ideas you can maximise the content you got from your tournament, no matter the outcome :

Make a carrousel

1

Make a storytelling post

2

shout out your supports

3

And what if I booked for a full division coverage and everything doesn’t goes according to plans ?

A first round knock out of your competition can happen. In that case, if you booked a full division coverage, you will be refunded 40% on the total order.

You will still get access of the content made the exact same way details above.

MAKE posters

  • Full weight class : 200€ (25+ photos + 1 reel)

  • Full weight class + Absolute : 250€ (35+ photos + 1 reel)

Extras :

MAKE technical content

the easiest one. By a mile. Everyone does it and it’s nice to show your favorite pics of the week end.

Use it to tell your stories, what went right or wrong, have fun with the individual captions, or mix the sources, my photo, your mom’s Iphone photo, the post compt Burger king receipt.

The people want to know more about you with your daily experiences !

Feels the same, but actually different. Here it is more about yourself from within. An emotional single photo to support your story, and then an longer text to give us more context about your path, your lifes choices that lead you here, on those mats.

Being true to yourself and expressing it help your audience relate, and want to know how you will rise from your hard times.

Show the people who help you build who you are : your close ones, your coaches, and friends. community runs deep in the jiujitsu sphere !

As much as i can, I will include photos and content of you and your team sharing the emotions of the competition. Thoses moments are the parts that makes you too !

USE AND RE-USE AND RE-RE-USE YOUR CONTENT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE ! AND ONE GREAT WAY TO DO SO IS TO GET CREATIVE ON THE GRAPHIC SIDE !

WETHER IT IS FOR A COMPETITION, AN ANNOUNCEMENT IN YOUR GYM OR A SUPER-FIGHT POST, USING YOUR CONTENT IN A POSTER IS A GREAT WAY TO USE IT FULLY.

BUT WAIT ! THIS ONE RECOMMENDATION WILL HIT PERSONAL GROUND BUT I THINK IT IS NECESSARY : AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, HIRE SOMEONE TO DO YOUR VISUALS INSTEAD OF TURNING TOWARD IA GENERATED POSTERS. YES IT IS EASIER, AND MOST OF THE TIME CHEAPER. BUT WHERE IS YOUR IDENTITY IN THAT ? HOW DO YOU DIFFERENTIATE YOURSELF AMONGST THE CONTENT SLOP WE NOW SEE EVERYDAY ? Getting someone to craft your visuals or finding a template that speaks to you will absolutely help you grow an identity that will stand out and give your audience a fresh air of authenticity.

THERE ARE A LOT OF WAYS TO VISUALLY STAND OUT, EVEN IF THE EDITS FEEL BASIC, YOUR TASTE WILL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE !

Once you get your competition highlight reel, you can post it ! that is step one, but why not reuse it to break down your favorite move from it ? Seeing moves that actually works make a whole lot of difference.

Jiujitsu is a crafty sport, but efficiency always beat the spazz, and you can always help someone understand a move or your thought process during a high intensity fight!

now all of this are recommendation and ideas, never force yourself to post things you don’t want for the sake of squeezing content out of everything. stay true to yourself, and express the way to find proper !

What if… ?

nice… but what DID you actually booked ?
